Project description

Beiersdorf AG has officially launched the construction of its new, state-of-the-art logistics center in the northern part of Leipzig. The company is investing over 200 million euros in the project. Completion and commissioning are scheduled for 2027, while ca. 450 new jobs will be created at the new site.

The three floor slabs of the flat warehouses must be constructed to be impermeable and resistant to substances. They are to be designed as FD concrete with a pre-verified sealing performance in accordance with the DAfStb guideline “Concrete structures for handling water-polluting substances.

Optimisation with SFRC
  • Significant reduction of crack width-limiting reinforcement → optimal constructability / economic benefit
  • Large-scale, jointless execution of floor slabs with lengths up to 90 meters
  • Enhanced impermeability and durability through improved crack behavior → crucial for long-term use and safety
