Project descriptionAnother expansion of the large Zeiss campus in Oberkochen was realized under the project name Zeiss North-Italy. As with the previously constructed production halls for semiconductor products, massive 1.50 m thick floor slabs were designed here as well, executed as jointless structures. The implementation followed the same approach as with the earlier foundation slabs, using combined reinforcement to consistently apply the efficient construction method to these new sections as well.
Optimisation with SFRC
- Constructability and time savings -> Starting production as early as possible was top priority
- Vibration-resistant, monolithic foundation slabs without construction joints
- Reduction of execution time was a dominant factor for feasibility
- Simplified reinforcement layout
- Building on the former successful way of execution with combined reinforcement
